Many of us are managing some level of despair right now. For some of my clients, it shows up as anger. For others, grief. Others still are holding a fragile kind of hope that flickers in and out, depending on the day, or the news cycle.
For ten long years, Americans have watched the country lurch and twist. Some days everything feels hopeless. Other days, people rally. We get progress. We get backlash. Signs of life emerge in unlikely places.
Last night I watched Sweet Charity and found myself unexpectedly undone. What I thought would be a distraction from the present moment ended up breaking it open.
